Well, if you have heard this and had your own share of doubts let me confirm this. Once you subscribe to movie pass you can watch a movie a day in most of the movie theaters around you. Assuming that you watch a movie a day using your pocket money you will have to part with more than $250 in a month. Actually, in some cities like New York watching a single movie will cost you up to more $15.19. Still having doubts whether MoviePass is worth the money?

Are there specific theaters to watch the movies?

MoviePass is accepted in over 33,000 movie theaters in the US. This is nearly 91% of all the theaters in the country. With MoviePass you can watch just any movie in all the major theaters countrywide.

How does MoviePass work?

For you to access these services you have to download the MoviePass app on your Smartphone. After signing up, the company will send you a physical card via mail. This is the card that shall be used to get a ticket to watch a movie in a theater. The MoviePass app will help you navigate through the movie theaters around you and will highlight the various movies that will be aired. Once you see a movie you would like to watch, all you have to do select it and the company will credit your MoviePass card with the specific amount of money required to watch that particular movie. To avoid paying for a movie that you are not actually going to watch, you have to be within 100 yards of the theater and you should check in the next 30 minutes once the top up on your card has been processed.

Are there any negatives?

Recently, the company announced that they will increase the subscription to $14 and this will be limited to 4 movies in a month. They have not yet implemented this but I just hope they don’t since they will lose most of their customers. Whenever there is a top release movie, you cannot watch it on the first weekend.

Till to date, I don’t understand why but I still believe that MoviePass is worth the money and you will save quite a fortune.
